HoN Tour Season 4 has officially started 2024 last weekend. While fewer matches than usual were played in Diamond Division due to some scheduling issues, we got plenty of entertainment right away along with some very interesting results. On top of that, we can look forward to more weekday matches coming up this Tuesday and Thursday, so all teams will have played at least a few matches when the second weekend begins. Let's take a quick look at the results from last weekend and then take a peek at the weekday schedule.

Saturday

Set to play three matches on this day, [coL]compLexity Gaming and [LGT]LGT Gaming were certainly busy right from the start of the Cycle. Their first match would be against each other, which would be an ideal chance for the newcomer from Gold Division to show what they’ve got. compLexity needed put in some effort, but eventually came out ahead, giving LGT a rough start in their first Diamond Cycle and taking home three points. Both teams would stay busy in the following round, as compLexity Gaming played against [PinE]Pingudancers eSports, old TwoZero, next and LGT Gaming had to face [Hex]Polymorph.

Two hours later, the Pingu Dancers managed to take a point home when they got a draw against compLexity, and LGT showed Polymorph that they were quite capable to do well in Diamond, defeating them and earning their first three points. The late evening saw everything coming full circle as coL played against Polymorph and LGT played against Pingudancers. Both matches resulted in victories, with compLexity triumphing as expected and the Pingudancers defeating LGT Gaming.

Sunday

Sunday started out with no rest for the guys from compLexity. One more match was scheduled for them, and this time it was against their greatest rival, [Sync]Sync eSports. These two teams are considered the top teams of the Season and best bets to win the whole Season, so as expected we got a nice back and forth match right here, which resulted in both teams sharing a point, as neither was able to win both games.

Sync had a bit more on their plate this day and really wanted to get more than just that meager point, so their next opponents were in for a tough time. [Hex]Polymorph had the honour to be this opponent and as expected the match ended with a Sync victory. But there was still hope for a good end of the weekend for Polymorph too, they had one more match lined up, against Pingudancers eSports. Sadly that match did not go at all their way and ended with three points for the Pingus, causing Polymorph quite a headache.

Weekday matches

On Tuesday we will have four matches for you: first, at 12:00 EST / 18:00 CET, we will have [Mint]Fresh and [ECx]Evil Corporation play their first HoN Tour match of the year against each other while at the same time [BMG]BadMonkeyGaming will make their 2024 introduction against Pingudancers eSports. And right after that, at 14:00 EST / 20:00 CET, Sync eSports and Fresh will face each other while Evil Corporation will have to fend off wild Pingudancers.

For Thursday we got four more matches scheduled: at 12:00 EST / 18:00 CET there will be the Evil Corporation versus LGT Gaming match as well as BadMonkeyGaming versus Polymorph. And to finish the weekday matches, 14:00 EST / 20:00 CET will have Sync eSports play versus Evil Corporation and Fresh versus Polymorph.

Well, this certainly looks like an entertaining week ahead of us, and this is just the start of the Cycle. More matches will follow this coming weekend and there we will see who gets to enter the Playoffs for next week and who has to enter the arena and battle Gold Division teams in the Relegation matches. The only thing that is sure now is that Honcast will cover these matches live, so tune in on time and enjoy the first Cycle of the new year!
