HoN Tour Season 4 Cycle 4 has been the Cycle of surprises so far and after 4 hard fought matches during the weekdays, we are getting close to the end of the Group Phase and possible additional surprises. It is indeed exciting right now in HoN Tour, with all the Diamond teams able to take some points off of each other, no matter how good they were last Cycle or who joined their team just days ago. With some teams it seems to be a regular thing now, they have a good, then a terrible Cycle, only to have a great one again right after. Maybe it is connected to the moon, or has other natural reasons, perhaps it's just how it is, in any case the viewers are certainly happy to see all this movement and it makes HoN Tour a better place. But let's not go into science or the occult here, it's time for some results and a look at the coming weekend.

Tuesday

Two matches were set to play here, both with [Rea]Reason Gaming as one of the active teams. In the first match, their opponent was [BMG]BadMonkeyGaming, who hoped to repeat last Cycles success in the Playoffs against them. Both teams really needed some additional points for this Cycle, so the match was pretty intense, but in the end BMG got what they wanted and took both games home, resulting in a nice boost in their score.

Reason Gaming had little time to lick their wounds though, the next opponents, [Mint]Fresh, were already getting ready for them. And once again Reason failed to get their game through, Fresh was doing better all the way and claimed both games in their favour. A bitter day for Reason, who had hoped to score some greatly needed points to get to the Playoffs again. Now it seems more likely that they will have to fight for survival, 4 matches played and 0 points yet is rather alarming and sounds more like Relegation than Playoffs.

Thursday

First up we had another match for Reason Gaming on that evening, against [ECx]Evil Corporation. ECX had been doing well so far and so they were the favourite to win here and they certainly tried hard. But Reason were better prepared this time and while they did not win both of the games, at least one went in their favour and they finally got the first point for this Cycle. The guys from Evil Corporation probably shrugged and prepared for the weekend, as they already got 2 wins and now the second draw, which means 8 points with three matches still to go. Match two of the day was between Sync Esports and [REVO]Revolution. Both teams surprised the Hellbourne out of everyone on the first weekend, after a Cycle of disappointment and bare survival, they both played stellar and the bottom team of last Cycle even managed to get the lead for a while. Quite impressive really.

Now they were set up against another and here Sync was able to demonstrate just how good their lineup is and that they are back and ready to go all the way to the top again. Revolution certainly tried to prevent that and take at least one game to get themselves to the playoffs for sure, but not on that evening. Sync scores a win and takes home three points, which makes it 10 in total for them now and Revolution will have to do with zero gain for now. They are still in second place with 9 points and have 2 more matches to go, so it seems likely that they will make it into the Playoffs, but for that to happen for sure, they will need at least one more win. The competition is getting closer.

This Weekend

Those were the weekday matches. Following this weekend will be 13 excellent matches that will decide who gets to the Playoffs and who will have to go to Relegation. Everything is still possible in theory, so enjoy another awesome HoN Tour weekend at Honcast. On Saturday we will have first [ECx]Evil Corporation versus [Mint]Fresh and [BMG]BadMonkeyGaming versus [REVO]Revolution at 12:00 EDT | 18:00 CET, followed by [coL]compLexity Gaming versus [Rea]Reason Gaming and[ECx]Evil Corporation versus [MysT]The Mystery Gang at 14:00 EDT | 20:00 CET and at the end of the day, at 16:00 EDT | 22:00 CET, [coL]compLexity Gaming will play against [Mint]Fresh while [Rea]Reason Gaming and [MysT]The Mystery Gang will have a go at the bottom of the group. Exciting matchups indeed and there will be even more on Sunday, just remember that summer time ends in the US, so don't tune in too early or late!
